About Abantu
Wellbeing starts with understanding.
Abantu is the Zulu word for people. We offer psychological care, learning and wellbeing support shaped by the idea that people are formed by their relationships, communities, histories and hopes.

Our mission
To illuminate the path of healing and self-discovery by embracing the collective strength of humanity. We strive to understand, value and integrate each individual's unique strengths, heritage and life experiences into a tailored therapeutic journey.
How we work
We begin by listening carefully to what has brought you here. Together we build an understanding of the patterns, relationships and experiences connected to what you are facing, and agree an approach that suits you.
Our values
- Individuality
- Every person is unique, and their therapy should be too. We value the nuances that make you, you.
- Shared humanity
- Rooted in the Zulu idea of "the people", we believe in the collective strength that binds us all.
- Empathy
- Alongside professional expertise, we offer care that listens and understands.
- Holistic approach
- We value experiences and narratives, not only the difficulties that bring people to us.
- Integrity
- Trust is fundamental. We uphold high ethical standards, with confidentiality, respect and honesty.
- Continuous learning
- Psychology keeps evolving, and we are committed to ongoing professional growth.
